Yah. I hadn't run across Phlow before. They post some really nice music...even in genres I normally don't go for. Thanks.

Isn't this really just an excuse to rub our nose in the fact that you have a SX64? ;-)

"Sketch" or "no sketch" - VERY nice, man. I love-love-love when she kicks in around the 1:00 mark. That is a very rich texture. Seems like the star. Beautiful patch programming (as always)!

There is a stumbling polyrhythmic element... I'm iffy on the timing. I think it kicks in around 1:45. It's more noticable on headphones.

CIRCJ is a long-legged 6581-daddy.

This reaminds me somewhat of the weird bowhammer dulcimer stuff that Masley does.
Er....http://www.emusic.com/album/Michael-Masley-Cymbalennium-MP3-Download/11050184.html

This guy used to and may still play alot on the streets in downtown Santa Cruz. Kinda an a**hole, but he has a nice sound.

I'm still digesting it. However, while I realize that this will probably be an unpopular opinion, it doesn't really do much for me. While I can appreciate their continued exploration of "generative" composition methods, I still prefer the more traditional and "structured" sound of their older work.

But thats just my personal taste and opinion. :-)

Can we keep it on this level in '08?
This is it, folks. The bar is right in front of us.

I have nothing to say other then "yes" and "more please".

Beautiful stuff. Listened to it 5 times in the first session.

A very smooth, gentle but not new-agey piece. He deserves props - less is more - is written all over this. I kept hoping nothing else would occur and it didn't! I absolutely love the white noise moment at 4:30 and elsewhere. Very contemplative, one of my favorite qualities music can have.

I checked out his visuals. Some great stuff there. But, being the jerk I am - I'm compelled to state: "rockin the 303" is mistitled... it's actually "rockin the MC-303". Big difference for the acid crews of the world :-P
