Here is a little sketch — a fun early morning session recorded live using a collection of SID samples and my Sidstation. I cannot really call it a chiptune since it was assembled primarily in Ableton Live, but chiptunes were certainly the inspiration, and the sounds originated in a 6581 of one form or another (my SX64, the Sidstation, etc.).

  1. Isn’t this really just an excuse to rub our nose in the fact that you have a SX64? ;-)

“Sketch” or “no sketch” - VERY nice, man. I love-love-love when she kicks in around the 1:00 mark. That is a very rich texture. Seems like the star. Beautiful patch programming (as always)!

There is a stumbling polyrhythmic element… I’m iffy on the timing. I think it kicks in around 1:45. It’s more noticable on headphones.

    CIRCJ is a long-legged 6581-daddy.
