“All Becomes Music” is pure delayed gratification — ambience and pads eventually giving way to something more. Just one mood on the diverse “All Becomes Music” release on Sutemos.

When I first listened to this… I was iffy on it’s strange, dischordal, wobbly looped patch. But as the rest of the elements make themselves known - it starts to fit together for my ear. The focus on the soft warbled tones finally lets go and I’m pulled into something pretty special.
Of course, the piano motif an obvious star here. But after more time spent with this track I’ve come to love the quiet guitar washes, at times echoing Page at the apex of ‘Dazed & Confused’ solo at Madison Square Garden in ‘73.
At the 3min. mark… the heart of the piece is revealed; some realistic yet programmed(?) drums with a pitched drum-loop sample fall in, but rest behind. An appropriate use of wordless vocals chant happy “la’s”. They weave both structured and freeform threads around in the mix. Reminds me of, yet doesn’t mimic something like Rachel’s.
As much as I like this track - it’s a bit shoe-gazer for me. That said, I still find it very wistful and unexpected based on the first few bars. If I could have at the mix, I might pull that initial, constant, wobbly tone back in the mix as it still does bug me a tad.
